This is what recommends ***** ***** ***, a rustic rental centre settled
in the village of Val-David, in the Laurentians. The journey sums up a 8 km kayak or
canoe trip on the rivière du Nord, a few rest areas to pick-nick, an aviary of
shaggy ducks and a bike ride on the linear park Le P’tit Train du Nord, and is scattered
with points of observation of waterfalls and rapids.
In 1993, Jeffrey Carter conceded the first floor of
his centennial house to the exploitation of a canoe and kayak rental
centre. At first, the company benefited
from nearly a full monopoly of the river.
But, as time passed, a bunch of retailers and eventual competitors
settled on the main of Val-David. However, **** ***** *** has resisted this quick modernization mostly due to the
expertise of its owner. Immoderate canoe
enthusiast, "Jeff" retired from physed teaching to dedicate himself wholly
to the outdoors, a passion of his. With
the help of his employees, he puts in summer vacationers and plans special
expeditions.
